HDMS Esbern Snare (L17) of the Royal Danish Navy heads downstream 02 May 2008. She is an Absalon Class Command and Support ship and has been taking part in the NATO exercises.
Diesel puffer VIC 32 paid a visit to Largs 01 May 2008. Due to the prevailing WSW, she succeeded in fumigating half of the town!

Tugs SD Impulse, SD Impetus wait to escort tanker Maersk Rapier into Loch Striven 30 April 2008, with Caledonian Macbrayne's Argyle in the foreground. Unfortunately, the weather set in (hail, rain etc. from the NNE) before Maersk Rapier came upstream - result no photos (W.D. Medway II passed as well- no result). Summer ???!!!
Caledonian Macbrayne's Loch Shira on her normal overnight berth lying inside Fairlie Marina 29 April 2008. Have we not already bought the site on berthing fees alone? (the new Largs Pier coming real soon now:-)). The trip down was to catch Tistedal heading downstream but the light went!
