This was the third of the Clyde class 70ft RNLI lifeboats, and was built at Bideford Shipyard in 1974, being named "City of Bristol". She was based at Clovelly in North Devon, and lay afloat on a mooring. Designed around the same hull lines as 70-001 she had a completely different layout, with a large deckhouse, although this has since been extensively modified as the picture shows.
